Born in Mercia Spain with a Spanish mum and an English dad, Sergio is bilingual and represents Spain.

Inspired by his dad, Sergio started cycling aged seven and then followed in his father's footsteps into triathlon and hasn't looked back since.

As a junior, he won both the XTERRA World Champs and Duathlon World Champs and was third in the World Triathlon Champs.

His recent results illustrate he is on course for selection for Paris 2024.
