Ava is a talented middle-distance runner who has been coached by Trevor Painter since the age of 12.

In 2019 she achieved an unexpected 2nd place in the 800m at the English Schools Championships which fulled her motivation to succeed further. This resulted in her proudly representing GB in Madrid and at the European Junior Championships in 2023.

This year (2024) Ava is focused on improving her PB's over 800m and 1500m. She was successful over the indoor season winning her first national title in the U20 800m and set two back to back personal bests in the heats and finals of the British Senior Championships over 1500m.

Her spot at the World Junior Championships in Peru is secure after a winning performance at the Alexander Stadium this month (July).

In September 2024, she will join Manchester University to study English Literature whilst continuing with her commitment to athletics.
